Welcome to Stateline Prep Sports Blog
Hey Stateline Prep Sports Fans!
This is the launch of the first official Stateline Prep Sports Blog.
The blog will keep Stateline prep sports fans in the loop about their favorite prep teams as well as provide information about the latest news surrounding your favorite school and commentary on recent events that are seen ( and sometimes not seen) on the local prep-sports scene.
I will also provide power rankings (similar to ESPN.com) on cerain sports, ranking the best teams in the area based on a formulaic system I will unveil at a later date.
There will also be a Star System given to the top athletes of the week for their accomplishments in their particular sport. More details on this will follow at a later date.
There will be Stateline Prep Sports Blogs throughout each week beginning in a week (Aug. 17) with fall sports officially underway. Football’s opening week will be Friday, Aug. 28, so make sure and come back to the site for commentary on Week 1.
While this is the BDN’s personal prep sports blog, I invite all of you to join and participate in discussions and to give me your feedback on what you like/dislike, would like to see added/subtracted — anything, really.
This is all about prep sports in the area from Beloit Memorial, Beloit Turner, Hononegah and South Beloit to Parkview, Brodhead, Clinton and Big Foot.
