I am a big believer in the three-sport athlete. We are very fortunate at Hononegah to have so many boys who are multi-sport athletes. This, I believe, is the basis for a sound athletic program at the high school level. Many college coaches prefer the multiple sport athlete over the one who decides to concentrate on just one sport. Could David injure himself? Sure, but he opens himself to injury everytime he takes the court for a pickup game of basketball, especially when that game is not within a controlled environment. If David had not come out, this would not have hurt our track program. Marc:
