Good to hear. Maybe that'll get me to finally pick it up. I've been meaning to, but a coworker's mother lent me the "Eclipse" and "Breaking Dawn" of the Twilight saga, so that's put me behind in my TBR pile. I also have a book for our newsroom's book club to get to soon. So many books, so little time!

A&D is worth the read. I've now seen the movie, and it was beautifully filmed, well-acted, and pretty exciting, but.. like most books to movies, it doesn't show the craftsmanship Dan Brown used in building his story.

I had to read Crime and Punishment for an English class in my senior year of high school. The names definitely presented a challenge. I must not have liked the book too much because I let some kids I babysat for deface the cover...

I also read Anna Karenina one summer when Oprah chose it for her book club. Maybe I'll have to revisit these books again, when I'm ready for a challenge.

As for getting through Angels and Demons, I'm in the middle of a Jodi Picoult book now (Nineteen Minutes) but maybe now that I have a fellow A&D reader I'll pick up the book next.

Thanks for the comment and happy reading!

I too have Angels & Demons on my dresser. Goal: read before the movie comes out. Upon turning a certain reflective age I began following a reading anthology, "The Well Educated Mind" by Susan Wise Bauer, instructor at the College of Wm & Mary, Wmsbrg. Challenges I proudly overcame were Don Quixote, and Moby Dick, among others. Loved both, and with assistance such as on-line Cliff's Notes or Spark Notes, I truely believe we can get through anything. Another particular challenge was following Crime & Punishment with Anna Karenina -- lots of names...I also find it is important to break up anything serious with magazines, comedies, and current writing. Thanks for your post, and hope you'll join me in getting through Angels & Demons soon.
